De-icer damage can usually be associated with the static electric discharge system not functioning properly. If the static electricity accumulated in the de-icer cannot be expelled through the static discharge system, the static electricity can discharge through the de-icer, causing holes and air leaks in a short period of time. It is essential that the static discharge system operate correctly before de-icer repair or replacmentis performed. Limited Warranty does not cover damages caused by a faulty static discharge system.
